Gris Alvarez

Gris was born in the State of Mexico and grew up in a home where no one knew Christ. Her family lived in poverty and often went hungry. At the age of eight, she came to know Jesus Christ. After sharing the Gospel, she began to experience persecution, even being beaten at school because of her faith.

At fourteen, Gris began serving the Lord by teaching children, and what began as a class soon became a place of prayer where the goal was for God to take control of the families in the church. At seventeen, she was invited to serve at a nearby mission, teaching children known as "Soldiers of the Lord," where the focus was always to pray that God would be first in the hearts of children and teenagers.

Today Gris continues serving in ministry and answered the call to missions after receiving God's direction during a training school at nineteen. She later began serving on mission trips in southern Mexico, learning to depend fully on the Lord in every area of life. In her mid-twenties, she also responded to the call to pastor a church among indigenous communities in central Mexico. She married her husband, Beto, in December 2025, and serves as a full-time missionary and pastor who is helping establish a mission center where people can be trained and sent to the mission field.
